PUZZLEXTM 2022 in Barcelona, Spain (November 15-17)
Welcome to Dr. Nouranian’s Lab!
In my group, we focus on experimental and computational science and engineering of advanced polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) for applications such as impact, thermal management, aerospace, automotive, membranes, extreme environments, and drug delivery. We are especially interested in engineering polymers modified with 1D and 2D nanoparticles, such as graphene, boron nitride, MXenes, carbon nanotubes, and carbon nanofibers. We also perform lower-length-scale, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.
Center for Graphene Research and Innovation (CGRI)
I am currently Associate Director for Research at the University of Mississippi’s Center for Graphene Research and Innovation (CGRI). Among many ongoing projects, we are developing multi-layered polymer nanocomposite (PNC) systems for high-velocity impact protection, 3D carbon structures for membrane and electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI) applications, and different heterostructures (0D-2D, 2D-2D, and 2D-3D) for energy-efficient microelectronics.
