Engineering Materials Simulation Lab
University of Mississippi

PUZZLEXTM 2022 in Barcelona, Spain (November 15-17)

Welcome to Dr. Nouranian’s Lab!

In my group, we focus on experimental and computational science and engineering of advanced polymer nanocomposites (PNCs) for applications such as impact, thermal management, aerospace, automotive, membranes, extreme environments, and drug delivery. We are espacially interested in engineering polymers modified with 1D and 2D nanoparticles, such as graphene, boron nitride, MXenes, carbon nanotubes, and carbon nanofibers. We also perform lower-length-scale, molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.

Center for Graphene Research and Innovation (CGRI)

I am currently a Co-Principal Investigator at the University of Mississippi’s Center for Graphene Research and Innovation (CGRI). In my Research Task, we are developing multi-layered polymer nanocomposite (PNC) systems for high-velocity impact protection. We also develop 3D carbon structures for membrane and electromagnetic interference shielding (EMI) applications.
